A Romantic Ojai Weekend: Siara & Michael's Ojai Valley Inn Wedding
Some love stories take the scenic route. Siara and Michael grew up in the same parts of Los Angeles, had countless friends in common, and still needed a dating app to finally connect the dots. It's the kind of origin story that makes you believe everything happens exactly when it's supposed to, and their wedding weekend at the Ojai Valley Inn felt like proof.
Over three days in late May, surrounded by the golden hills and lush grounds of one of California's most beloved wedding destinations, Siara and Michael celebrated with the people who matter most. Romantic, fun, and deeply intentional, exactly the vibe they asked for, and exactly what the weekend delivered.
Friday: Welcome Shabbat Dinner at the Pergola
The weekend began the evening before the wedding with a Welcome Shabbat Dinner at the Pergola — one of the Ojai Valley Inn's most intimate and beautiful outdoor spaces. Challah was cut, prayers were shared, and the warmth of the gathering set the tone for everything that followed. It was the kind of evening that reminds you a wedding is never just one day.
The Morning of: Getting Ready at the Ojai Valley Inn
Saturday began in the bridal suite, where Siara was surrounded by her bridesmaids, her mom, and her sister, the moments she specifically asked to have documented. Hair and makeup by Tatiana Irving's team transformed the morning into something unhurried and luminous, the calm before a celebration that was anything but.
The Ceremony: Jewish Tradition at the Artist Cottage
The ceremony took place at the Artist Cottage, one of the Ojai Valley Inn's most storied and intimate spaces. Before guests arrived, Siara and Michael shared a private Ketubah signing — the Jewish marriage contract, with their closest family. When the ceremony began, the chuppah, large, floral, and breathtaking, framed the moment perfectly.
The stomping of the glass brought the celebration to its feet. It always does. But here, with the golden Ojai light and a couple this genuinely in love, it felt like something more.
Cocktail Hour & Reception: The Farmhouse Courtyard and Great Room
Cocktail hour unfolded in the Farmhouse Main Courtyard as the Ojai sun made its descent, the 8:03pm sunset timed as if planned. Guests were then welcomed into the Great Room through glass sliding doors for an evening of dinner, dancing, and celebration that carried well past midnight.
The first dance. The parent dances. The open floor that followed. Siara and Michael, loving, affectionate, each other's best friend, were exactly where they were supposed to be.
The Galia Lahav Moment
Siara's gown deserves its own mention. A Galia Lahav design with detachable sleeves structured and bridal for the ceremony, effortless and modern for the reception. The transition was seamless and stunning, and the footage captured both.
Sunday: Day-After Brunch at Olivella
The celebration closed Sunday morning with a day-after brunch at Olivella, the Ojai Valley Inn's signature restaurant. A final gathering before the weekend became a memory — and proof that the best weddings don't end at midnight.
